Trunk Leaks, Gen IV Toro

Water into trunk leaks.

I have solved two water leaks into the trunk.

The '91 Trofeo also had an irritating leak into the trunk. This I have solved. It was not the roof (sun roof) leaking (though I looked long and hard there first), instead it was a very tink crack in the right hand rear seam, just below the rubber seal about 3-4" in from the righthand edge of the trunk corner. I have re-sealed this with what appears to be total success. It has rained here every day for the last 20 days or so (and 80mph+ winds this last week) (it has rained so much that my garage is developing its own climate) and for the last few days the trunk has remained dry.

The second leak came from the drains for the moon roof. These were blocked. Easy to fix, remove the carpet from the trunk and then prise out the rubber fitting at the end of each of the two tubes. Clean out and re-fit. The whole task is accomplished from inside the trunk of the car. I increased the size of the outlet in the valve mechanism very slightly by cutting a small "V" with wirecutters in the center of the rubber flap.

I guess I should look at the front drains too, but I havn't done so yet. I am not too sure where they are.
